Much to his own surprise, an emergency with Harrison and a new tableau from Gellar and Travis has Dexter leaning on Brother Sam and an unexpected winged messenger for support as he questions the idea of faith; with proof of a religiously motivated killer, Homicide hunts for a zealot, with Debra giving her first official press conference.

@Retriev3r I think I'm with you. A friend and I have been literally calling the entire episode plot really early on. Laughed at the peeping prof, which I don't think was meant to be funny. And 4 episodes of this so far.
At one point I said "Travis does not seem like much of a religious nut". He's hooking up, not listening to his crazy murder mentor, not showing faith, etc. I said it lightly, but there are no redeeming points. He's just not very good. Why the heck did prof choose him?
I don't even think Dexter is very true to character this season. For example, I don't think Dexter would ever be spiritual. He's (meant to be) hyper-rational (and the show is best when they show it that way imo), and I don't think he would give a care.
No worthy mentions of astor/cody/lumen/anything that happened last season makes me sad. There were loose ends there. But the real core component that is missing, I think, is that Dex and the killers aren't playing. They're entirely separate thus far, and it's not good enough. We can guess how things might join up later on, but that doesn't change the fact he's not playing with anyone. He's wholly unchallenged by them, Quinn, deb. He's just looking after his kid.
Bit of a rant, but you made me realise I'm not enjoying this at all. :(
Really guys?
This was maybe the worst episode since 5 years!
It was predictable from the beginning to the end.
I am used to a much better, more surprising Dexter!
I still don't like these two doomsday killers - they are f#?*ng stupid and that scene at the coffee machine was just weak.
Don't get me wrong, I love Dexter but I believe he had his best moments and this episode showed us the turningpoint for his end.
Only the ending was great imo. Rest of the episode, meh.
WOW... I had fucking goose bumps at the end. Season 6 is delivering!!
damn, this season can't go wrong. another great episode!
Great episode
Another great episode. This show can't go wrong.
This is going to be one sick episode.
