By ripping out the carpet and installing light hardwood floors, adding a new and larger French door to the patio, replacing a non-working wood stove with an electric fireplace, and adding custom shelving, a new, cohesive, and bright foundation was built. Adding calming colors like purples and grays along with furnishings like a romantic four poster canopy bed, homemade artwork, bedside tables dressed with nautical rope, and silk flowers to dress up an unused flower box, this mish mash of a room becomes a relaxing, cozy, romantic retreat by the water.
