Twilight Sparkle is confused by her conflicting feelings when she finds out her brother Shining Armor (Andrew Francis) is marrying "Princess Mi Amore Cadenza" (Britt McKillip), who she soon realizes is Cadance, a childhood friend of hers. However, when she notices suspicious behavior from Cadance, Twilight Sparkle tries to investigate the situation so she can save her brother, but her friends refuse to listen to her accusations. Twilight accosts Cadance at the practice ceremony, causing her to break down in tears. Shining Armor, Princess Celestia, and Twilight's friends are angered at Twilight, leaving her alone with Cadance. When she tries to apologize to her, Cadance instead uses a magic spell that teleports her underground and lets off an evil laugh.
