Licensed contractor Josh Temple replaces four slim windows with a four-panel French door that leads out to a huge brand new deck, complete with stairs to access the backyard pool. The old, 70s-style wet bar is transformed into a sound proof vocal booth, and a new L-shaped bar is built and faced with corrugated metal. Original shag carpet is ripped out and hand-scraped hardwood floor is installed. Sleek, colorful ceiling planks incorporated with recessed lights are suspended over the pool table and bar.
