@Jakurdo About the second part of your comment - I think with the professionals Keira and Carlos could get into their heads, know what to expect... With amateurs, and also kids, they didn't knew how they can react, like this one who shot Keira by mistake xD They are unpredictable cuz they're amateur and not so well prepaired
Well, it's my theory of this 'problem' but with first I agree, idk why they were sent for this, if Keira knew that this will be Alec's farm it could be taken as she wanted to participate in order to calm down the situation if it would be the bomb but... she didn't knew -.-
Alright, in this episode things got real (so to speak), and I generally liked it (I rated it 4 stars). That being said however, the actual plot of this episode was pretty poor. First off, Carlos and Kiera get sent to the farm because of some manure issue? Granted, the boys were building a bomb so the police visit was legitimized, but that's no reason to specifically send those two. Especially Kiera who is supposed to be some federal agent, why sent her on this seemingly meaningless task? It wasn't linked to the Liber8 at all (at least not to the police's notion). Maybe I missed something, but it seemed a pretty weak reason to get those two to Alec's farm.
And beyond that, the entire hostage situation was just so amateuristic, but the whole time the boys were regarded as a bunch of professionals to be feared by Kiera and Carlos. It just didn't make much sense to me, the way it all unfolded. Seemed to me like the writers had some clear goal in mind (which they achieved at the end of the episode by clearly linking it all to the overall plot), but were having a very difficult time to (credibly) get there.
It's starting to get really good! I'm starting to love this show. Mind you, starting to love, I don't yet, but it's close.
Now this one was pretty good!
