Atsu-hime senses Iesada must be pretending to be benighted and asks Iesada the reason. He begins to ignore and avoid her. Atsu-hime asks him to see her but he tells her that he had no intention of having a child. The information was quickly sent to Nariakira through Ikushima. Atsu-hime invites Iesada's concubine, Oshiga, to learn more about her husband.
