The binmen at the tip recognise Fred and refuse to let him dump the rubbish. Eddie longs to heal the breach but Annie refuses to budge. Annie goes to visit Joan, unable to cope with the smell any longer. Len is annoyed that Rita is paying Hilda out of The Kabin's takings. He tells her that she should try running the yard if she's so clever.
