Sophie's frustrated that her parents aren't paying her as much attention as Rosie. The fact that Sally and Kevin get all dressed up to go out to dinner with one of Rosie's classmate doesn't help matters. Janice arranges a date with taxi driver Patrick, but there's confusion when he turns up at the flat in his taxi, Leanne thinks the taxi's for her and Jamie! When Janice comes out ready for her date, she's greeted by Les. Unwilling to admit that she had a date with Patrick, Janice tells Les to take her to the bingo! Liz and the Barlow's trick Steve into going to London with them for the taping of the family quiz. He's not happy when he finds out what's really going on. He refuses to do the show, but under pressure from everybody else after the show's producers threaten to make them pay their own hotel bill if Steve doesn't participate, he reluctantly agrees.
