So great finale! Great show! And smart. I'm so happy that it has been renewed by HBO for a third (but final...) season.
Superb finale.
Don: "What i have can't be taught", I love the guy
Sloan is amazing, glad that this season was self-contained.
why does this end with all people happy? didnt like that but the episode until the last 5 minutes was great
<3 Sloan.
In Brazil, we rarely have good TV shows, but we have too many Telenovelas (Soap Operas) that, for the record, are pretty awful too. Every novela we have is basically the same thing. The theme can be different, but the events are the same: we have two protagonists - a man and a woman who fall in love at the first episode - and we have two or three bad guys who try to separate them during the whole thing until the last episode where, normally, the bad guys die or go to jail. About those last episodes, every telenovela is the same fucking thing: at the last ep (that, here, we call "chapters"), all the couples get together, the people who were single meet a stranger and they fall in love, the couples get married or the men ask the women to marry them, the women get pregnant and, finally, finally, the protagonists get together for real this time and everyone's happy.
So I was watching this episode and I loved when Sloan kissed Don bc they're undoubtedly the best couple (and the best characters) in this show. Then, Jim has that moment with Maggie and, at that point, I was like "nope" and "I can't deal with their shit again" and "stop". And, after that, Will asks Mac to her be his Mackenzie McHale McAvoy and everyone is happy and celebrating, everything is okay, no one is resigning, and, fuck, this is the last chapter of a Brazilian telenovela, hahahahahaha.
Well, whatever. I didn't like this season, it had a bad development and too many clichés (Maggie goes to Africa, connects with a kid and the kid die. Really?). Also, everybody hates Maggie, so what is she still doing in this show? Plus I can't stand Mackenzie and almost every other character irritates me somehow, except for Sloan (obviously, she's amazing), Don and Elliot (who is a freaking support character). I think Sorkin can be so much better than that. This isn't a bad show, not at all, but I'm really disappointed right now.
Don and Sloan easily the best couple around, about time something happened. Maggie just annoying, but I got used to it by now. Great episode overall.
<3 Sloan
I just hate Maggie's face at this point... Other than that, good finale.
