It had its moments but I feel rather disappointed overall. It felt kind of rushed and as if Linehan didn't know or couldn't decide what to do with the characters. The obvious many-times-done jokes (SHOW SPOILER Anonymous member being a teenager, the supposedly funny explosions and comic sans used in over-the-top video intros, bored digging at viral videos, etc. ) weren't very entertaining either and I enjoyed the simple humo(u)r (SHOW SPOILER "don't forget to add the water") much more than the sophisticated attempts at being original or smart.
I actually prefer any episode of Linehan's recent "Count Arthur Strong" to this special, if you don't know the show, make sure to check it out, it's good British stuff.
That said, this was a fine epilogue, with many nice callbacks but I don't think the show would've suffered any harm if this never got made. In fact, it only made me happier about Black Books or Father Ted ending as abruptly as they did.
