Weil Bootsmann Morris ohne die Befehle seines Kapitäns nicht auf Kaperfahrt gehen will, kommt es zur Meuterei bei der auch Sharingham getötet werden soll. Es gelingt Jack gemeinsam mit Morris, die Meuterei niederzuschlagen. Jack hat dem Lordrichter damit zum zweiten Mal das Leben gerettet.
