Steve is having problem dumping Jane, master of psychological manipulations and ask his friend Jeff for advice. Susan,Jeff's coworker, and Patrick decide to end their relationship, while Patrick is disturbed by Susan's view of the relationship as casual. Susan recognizes Steve from her last office party, and Steve finally has the guts to ask her out, despite still being together with Jane in the meanwhile Sally attempts to catch Patrick's attention.
