Viv is at a loss as to what to do and Paddy tries in vain to talk to his dismissive wife. Elsewhere, Val and Bob wake up together and make a pact to tell no one of their liaison. Later in the pub, Eric is jealous of the flirting going on between the two of them and he asks Val out. Meanwhile, Diane and Jack return home from the hospital and head to The Woolpack to celebrate Diane's final chemo session. A sentimental Jack tells Diane how happy he is that she has come through the worst of her illness.
