정몽주가 이색을 도당에 복귀시키려고 하자 정도전의 당여들은 격렬하게 반대를 한다. 윤소종은 이색이 가짜 왕씨를 왕위에 세웠다는 것을 명분으로 이색을 탄핵하려하고 공양왕은 난처해한다. 이에 정몽주는 이성계에게 찾아가서 이색의 탄핵을 막아달라고 주장하고, 이에 이방원은 대업을 위해서 정몽주를 제거해야 말한다. 이때 정도전의 눈빛이 흔들리는데...
