Desie vindt het tijd voor een ‘eerste keer’. Ze is nu inmiddels 16 en stelt zich er van alles bij voor. Voor Monique is het lastig te accepteren dat haar dochter niet voor altijd haar kleine meisje blijft. Bij Dunya thuis gaat ook niet alles over rozen: Kenza moet naar het ziekenhuis voor een inwendig onderzoek. Dunya gaat mee om te vertalen en leert haar moeder beter kennen.
