The Going Merry breaks apart and Luffy begs the shipwrights to repair the beloved ship, but they refuse. Iceburg then describes how he had found the ship lying at the shore and had done everything to fix it, convincing Luffy to let it go. Reminiscing about their adventures together, the Straw Hats burn their old ship and watch as it sinks to the bottom of the sea.
