De ochtend na een decadent feestje in de chique Antwerpse jachtclub Fevaca wordt gerante Mich Nelis vermoord teruggevonden. Ze kreeg verschillende messteken in de borst. De eigenaar van de club, Jan De Ridder, brengt de politie op het spoor van notaris Sanders. Op haar eerste werkdag na haar ziekenhuisopname verneemt Dani Wauters van de korpschef dat ze gepromoveerd wordt.
