Burnley's debut season in the Premier League ended with the visit of a Tottenham side that has spent the season striving for a top-four finish. Manchester City also set out this season to earn Champions League qualification and finished their campaign at West Ham, who have endured a difficult time on and off the pitch. Meanwhile, Liverpool were hoping to finish strongly against lowly Hull.
