Melanie is in Phil's bed horrified at what she's done. Lisa bangs on the front door. Jamie pulls up on Bridge Street and eyes Number 45.
The Cottons turn up at the Fowlers' and Nick's worried to find the Evans' there while Dot handles their presents.
Lisa storms into the house as Phil answers the door. She's confused to find Melanie's dress in the kitchen. Phil tells her he borrowed Melanie one of hers. Phil manhandles her into the living room. Lisa rips into Phil about his faults. She tells him that Peggy's on tranquillisers and that he does not care. She continues to dig at him and he warns her to stop. As Lisa carries on, Phil whacks her across the face. She's left shell-shocked but undefeated. In retaliation, Phil throws her out of the house.
