Hornstock forces Villa to pick a new partner, and she immediately clashes with the one assigned to her. After learning she cost Hornstock the job as Chief, Villa tries to make herself less of a liability, which reveals a surprising pattern in her life. Meanwhile, the death of a victim forces Pippy to offer her assistance in the investigation and to revisit her past. The case stirs up old wounds for the entire Rosewood family and creates new ones for her and TMI. Meanwhile, Rosewood’s slight health scare leads him in search of a new cardiologist.
