JP's old school friend, Cordell Thomas, confesses to the murder of Eugene Jones. Jack is unconvinced that Cordell killed Eugene based on the peanut that Eugene was clenching in his fist when he died. Jack and the team then find stolen belongings of former convict Charlie Blake at Eugene's house, while also learning that Eugene's sister had issues with Eugene prior to his death. Elsewhere, Dwayne celebrates his birthday with his girlfriend, Darlene, and his father, Nelson, who pays him a visit. Note: This episode was dedicated to guest star Larrington Walker who died before his role was completed.
