Shakir is an army sergeant and he has not seen his mom in two years due to being stationed in Virginia and deployed to South Korea. LaShandria is a former Atlanta police officer, who currently works as a resource officer at Therrell High School. Last week, Shakir surprised LaShandria during a pep rally at her school and the video of their reunion has gained national attention.
