Se-yeong finds out that Geon-wu tried to mortgage the Yangpyeong lands and she also finds the divorce papers and some advertising brochures of apartment complexes in his desk drawer. She feels betrayed by how he is preparing everything secretly behind her back. She begins to think calmly about her situation.
Tae-hee tells Seo-gyeong that she knows what is going on and demands to know how long Seo-gyeong is going to be indecisive. Tae-hyeon stops his sister when she begins to demand that Seo-gyeong confess everything to Bong-dal and Mal-ja. Seo-gyeong tries to come clean but Tae-hyeon urges her not to, saying that he will agree to a divorce like she wants and that there is no need to get the whole family in an uproar. Seo-gyeong is confused when she receives a letter demanding that she demolish her cottage.
