Angie and Carson disagree about interior design… And their two little boys have taken over their tragically unhip suburban home in the meantime. Filled with toys (and dirty dishes), the messy kitchen doubles as a playroom, the bland master bedroom looks more like a prison cell, and the living room features a strange buffet of colored sofas. After an on-stage ambush at the local community theatre, Colin and Justin promise to create spaces for children and adults alike, and to end the couple’s design dispute for good. And in addition to creating contemporary casual interiors, a functional family kitchen, and a Balinese-inspired master bedroom, they vow to teach their charges about cozy, small space solutions. The couple is thrilled… That is until Angie calls the redesign ‘tacky.’ Will she give the makeover a chance?
