Journalist Vardan Hovhannisyan was in the trenches alongside the soldiers and captured their last words to their families and their reflections on life and war. Ten years later he returned to the villages still in ashes, to the soldiers, nurses and ordinary people who survived to find out how people continue to live their lives after experiencing such extraordinary and traumatic events.
