BBC Documentaries - 1936x01 Television Comes to London

Television Comes To London was first shown on the opening night of the BBC Television Service.

Shot by Bill Barbrook, the film shows the activity behind the scenes in the year running up to the launch of the service. It was edited down to 15 minutes, set to an excerpt from Dvorak's New World Symphony, and transmitted through a telecine machine.
