Father and Son was a short documentary at the home of John Peel, exploring his relationships with his father and with his eldest son William. This was shown on BBC2 during John Peel Night, which was broadcast on Sunday 29 August 1999, the night before John Peel's 60th birthday.
He mentions that at some date in 2001 he will be older than his father ever was.
Peel would subsequently apologise to William both privately and publicly for his comments about him in the programme.
