Arsenal were looking for a statement win against a Liverpool side who have made an indifferent start to the season. The Gunners have struggled badly against Jurgen Klopp’s side in recent years, though, failing to score in any of the past six competitive meetings and only winning one of the 14 most recent league encounters.
In the day’s other top-flight games, Everton hosted Manchester United, West Ham took on fellow London side Fulham, and Crystal Palace were at home to Leeds. Plus all the goals from Saturday’s matches.
