She finds herself being less than sympathetic with the suspect, and the case gives her an ultimatum of her own, when she decides that it's time to say goodbye to her fiancé Max Wyatt, who tries to help Kane move out of Bradford's house. Meanwhile, Carver realises he is still finding things difficult when he is asked to investigate a case of domestic violence. Smithy comes across a teenager struggling to hold his family together on an estate run by drug-dealing gangs, and takes sympathy on the tearaway. But little does he know that the youngster is more caught up in events than he initially suspected.
