Larry feels betrayed when David Spade guests on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno the same week he's set to appear on The Larry Sanders Show, without telling Larry. Hank's fan club visits the set. David Spade apologizes to Larry, and Larry says he can do the show a few weeks later, after the issue has died down. Then Joe Pesci cancels at the last minute and Larry is forced to ask David Spade to do the show, and he performs exactly the same set he performed on The Tonight Show.
