The Larry Sanders Show - 1x13 The Hey Now Episode

The episode opens with Larry interviewing Bob Saget, with whom Larry cannot get a word in. Larry asks Hank a question, but Hank answers incorrectly, as he is not paying attention to the show. Larry later complains to Artie that Hank was asleep on the couch, and asks Artie to talk to Hank. Larry later asks Artie if he thinks they should replace Hank, as he is concerned that Hank is spending too much time endorsing products, and not concentrating on the show. Larry talks to Hank in his office, and asks him to stop saying "Hey Now" on the show, as he uses it so much whilst he is not on the show. Artie condoles Larry by telling him that Janet Jackson is on the show tonight, and will land and be whisked to the set whilst filming is in progress. Larry talks to Hank in his dressing room later, and they end up arguing again. Janet Jackson does not arrive, as her plane is diverted to Reno due to fog, and T-Bone Burnett is arranged to replace her. The other guests on the show that night are Earl Holliman and dog expert Carl Hankel. Larry flounders during the extended segment with the boring dog expert whilst waiting for T-Bone to turn up, and Hank rescues him by asking questions about his dog, "Felipe Xavier Kingsley". T-Bone and band dash madly onto the show, making it in time to perform. During the song, Larry thanks Hank for saving him, and apologizes, saying the last few years have turned him into an asshole. Hank responds that the last few years have turned him into a moron, and they reconcile. Guest stars: Earl Holliman, Bob Saget, Ray Combs, T-Bone Burnett
