Joey is facing down three Trap-Creatures, with only two monsters of his own on the field. Lishto takes down them both and then all but 200 of poor Joey's life points. Joey then begins to lose faith in himself and prepares to surrender.Mai then shouts up to Joey that before he surrenders, to remember the people he beat in Battle City. And if he thinks it won't put them to shame by surrendering here, then go ahead and surrender. Joey then remembers that he has each of their best cards, and that it truly would be a shame to give up before it's really over.Serenity then tells Joey to keep going, that he's always been there for her, because without him, she would still be in the darkness. This phrase gets to Lishto, as he realizes that as Joey gave his sister light in the darkness, Mrs. Ishtar gave him light in the darkness long ago.Joey then, instead of surrendering, gets up and begins to fight again. He places one monster in defense mode, then activates a series of cards that allow him to play Jinzo, the anti-trap king. All of Lishto's trap monsters vanish and Lishto is left with nothing to defend his life points. Joey attacks, reducing Lishto to 400.Lishto activates the swords of Revealing light to stall for time and then does two things: Puts Ra, which Malik has put in his deck, in the box on the altar of the temple, and activates a ritual which summons a terrible and very powerful looking scorpion. What is Joey to do now?
