Hoofdcommisaris Treunen is terug aan het werk. Dat is niet naar de zin van haar adjunct Wim Jacobs, die niet langer de lakens kan uitdelen. Hij zoekt dan maar verstrooiing bij inspecteur Gwennie. Hun nachtje op hotel eindigt in een ruzie en zij besluit te voet naar huis te gaan. Gwennie wordt echter achtervolgd door drie jonge mannen en zij spelen een sinister kat- en muisspel met de inspecteur.
