The failed execution of a convicted murderer and pedophile marks the beginning of "Miracle Day." Across the globe, people becomeimmortal, mysteriously incapable of dying no matter what the circumstances. At the same time, a mysterious email draws the CIA's attention to the Torchwood Institute. Agent Rex Matheson travels to Wales to find the last known surviving member of Torchwood. Meanwhile, the world's population begins to realize the consequences on a world of ultimately limited resources where no one dies and 500,00 children are born each day.

Solid episode. Nothing spectacular. It's a ten episode season, so I'm expecting a slow build-up. Should be a good season. They seem to have a bigger budget, so that can't hurt.
On a side note, man Bill Pullman has aged a lot. I hadn't seen him in a while and he looks completely different.
