Bill voices his appreciation to Steffy for helping Liam and how much he prefers her over Hope being in a relationship with his son. Steffy reveals to Bill her plan to save Liam from what she feels will ultimately be a miserable marriage to Hope. A heated argument between Ridge and Thorne leads to an act of violence followed by one of them losing consciousness.
