It's not that bad. Arnett (duh) and Applegate are great. Maya Rudolph, not so much.
@colorblind90
I fixed it. Someone put the wrong one up at TVRage and I think Linker just quick grabbed it.
What's up with the description? "Jim (John Krasinski) heads a search committee that interviews candidates, including Andy (Ed Helms) and Darryl (Craig Robinson). Dwight (Rainn Wilson) tries to get back in the race." sounds like an Office episode to me :)
@ColeFrost Honestly 15 minutes in for this pilot is wayyy too much, I wanted to quit 5 mins in already.
I would think that the writers are as much to blame as the actors for this fiasco. Nothing was really happening in the story "Oh my god we have a baby, life is hard", but on top of that I failed to see the comedy angle in the pilot.
The actors (including Christina Applegate) were not at all there to pick up the pilot up from the abysmal boredom it made me fall into.
Honestly this is one of the very few shows for which I'd consider the creation of a zero-Star rating, 1 Star being way too much honor for such a show.
@linker
It was a bad sign when they redid the show, to get Maya Rudolph a bigger role. After she gained a little more fame with "Bridesmaids", they wanted to capitalize on it.
I have 3 problems with that:
#1 - I can't stand Maya, she is just another weak SNL actress who can't escape how dumbed down that show is. A few can, she can't seem to.
#2 - What was wrong with it? They shot a pilot, liked it, then all of a sudden decided to redo the show and add a third lead.
#3 - With the change came a less interesting sounding show. This includes the new plot, casting Nick Cannon, and taking away from potential Christina Applegate (The major selling point) time.
My thought is, the show could not have been that good in the first place, but it sounds worse now.
It looks like it started off well, but it dropped almost 1/4 viewers during the first 15 minutes.

Extremely poor, can't believe they got a season off a pilot like this.
Not bad. I enjoyed it.
Well, that was poor, I give this show six eps before it's cancelled.
