Californication - 5x01 JFK to LAX

JFK to LAX

A few years have passed and Hank is living in New York but looking for a ticket out of town after his latest breakup. He accepts an invitation from Charlie to come to Los Angeles for a job writing a film starring rapper/actor Samurai Apolcaypse, then reunites with Karen, her former professor and now-husband Richard, and his daughter Becca, who now has a boyfriend named Tyler that is the spitting image of Hank himself ... in the worst possible way.

I was disappointed, his pickup lines were really cheesy cliche, the general plot and scenes feels just more of the same old same old.
Another writing gig, the Ronkle/Marcy sex taboos over and over, the daughter is still boring, and it seems the Karen part is also setting up to be pretty boring.

Overall I feel Hank has really become too much of an anti-hero for me to still care enough

I'm skipping season 5 onwards

@Bonermaster

It was leaked early. If you use torrents, usenet, etc... Pretty decent return episode.
