For the people who've seen Lost and pay a little attention there's a nice reference about 11 minutes into the episode
SHOW SPOILER * The Scotch they're drinking is 60year old MacCutcheon. The brand is fictional and was created for Lost. It's the scotch Alan Davis (Charles Widmore in Lost/King George in this episode) pours out when Desmond comes and asks him for Penny's hand.
* Oh and the episode is called The Shepherd, as in... Jack Shepherd? :D
