Well this was absolutely amazing.
Spectacular.
gosh, that ending was just gorgeous and really cool, wasn't it?
@kenneththepage Oh okay, I'm also very good with that as well, nice!
@az25 mike schur talked about this in an interview. i'm afraid i've lost the link, but basically what he said is that where we jumped to is the the focus of the show. It likely won't start right there, but it wasn't a finale foreshadowing or a "fakeout" - it's where the show will be. could be new characters, could be some characters leaving, and we likely will see a lot of what happened in those three years. i'm personally thrilled - we get to see leslie accomplish something new and amazing and realistic which a normal time frame wouldnt have allowed.
For the ones who watched LOST back in the day. When season 5 ended and than you've got the LOST logo with the colours reversed...that feeling back then...THAT feeling returned with the last scene of the episode...Can't wait for the final season!
@furbul With any other show, I'd agree with you, but this is Parks. They've done such a wonderful job of dealing with changes, I was actually more worried that this was going to be the final episode ever. It felt like it, until the voice guy at the end told us there will be a 7th season next year... anyway, I think Parks has done a great job of dealing with change over the years, and the great thing is the show has always been about the characters, and not necessarily the location and it seems like everyone will be back working with Leslie, or at least will still be downstairs working for Ron. It seems like big changes are coming, but I don't necessarily think that will be the case, SHOW SPOILER I feel like the 3 year jump at the end was more a look at where they'll be ending the show, rather than where we'll begin season 7 (I think and hope they'll show us how Leslie becomes that woman we see), but I guess we shall see.
@az25 I mean this big time jump. These large changes are never a good sign - it may mean the lack or ideas. I hope I'm wrong of course.
@tamarlun13 @furbul they're moving upstairs and staying in Pawnee. What are you guys talking about? They aren't going anywhere, the only difference is now Leslie might take farther trips to visit parks all over the Midwest region.
Lots of cool cameos :)
The finale was great, but with this ending the show might just jump the shark.
