Night of the living Cybermen.
Capaldi's amazing work this season didn't help the mess it was... Overall I liked the episode because it felt really dynamic and somehow made me feel emphatic towards the Master in the end...
I think... SHOW SPOILER I only liked the part where the Doctor flies and catches the T.A.R.D.I.S. Oh right, and Mr. Pink dying \o/ Nothing else. For me the stories of the seasons 5th, 6th and 7th of Matt Smith are the best until now.
Porca madonna che finale di merda...come un po' tutta la stagione!
@emonquente use [ spoiler ] text [ /spoiler ] but without the spaces in the brackets. Like this:
SHOW SPOILER Best thing about this ep was Danny Pink dying for good
All in all a terrible season, even though Capaldi did a great job
And here I thought the show would have gotten better after it got rid of horrible Matt Smith, but nah apparently not even great Capaldi can pull this from the terrible ditch that Moffat has driven the show into. I can honestly say I wouldn't care if they announced there won't be a ninth season.
Oh thank god, no more Mr. Pink . . . hopefully.
Other than that, I just. . . this was a really good episode, and it had a moment that was (for me) quite possibly the most fantastic moment in, well, anything.
Then they just. . . brushed it off. That moment should have been so much more poignant, the Doctor should have truly suffered, anguished, and perhaps even . . . but the Master, and they even stuck with this "Never Would" nonsense with, not a deus ex machina exactly, but a cheap twist on top of it. I just. . .
I got something awesome, and, I dunno if it even could have been played properly -- they had two episodes (one of which ran long) to deal with it, and that should have been enough time but they just didn't and . . .
Something was sorely missing here, and the last 10 minutes just being an (albeit intriguing) look at what the Christmas Special shall have to deal with I still just. . . .
UGH! It has such good lines!
(how does one do a spoiler tag anyway?)
SPOILERS::::
Give the Doctor an army, make him President of Earth, and it's all a birthday present from his best friend (of long ago), who has always enjoyed playing with him, even as an enemy, who would never kill him, who has saved him on at least one occasion I recall, who loves him, and really, just wants to be on the same side as hime (and be ruler of, at least a planet) and, not only dead, but it wasn't even by his own hand? The Master won. . . (s)he won, after all those centuries -- and the Master has actually gotta be quite a bit older than the Doctor at this point, well, who knows really, but probably. . . we don't get to really see the generations in order tho, so maybe this is an earilier one hitherto unseen? But that can't be, because (s)he just died. . .which is weird. . .whatever.
Iunno, it's kinda like this: If Doctor Who had started 30 years later than it had, there would have been a lot of Master/Doctor slash fiction (there prolly is anyway). . .I want a happy ending for them.
Killing Osgood? Why? The episode was not well put together...a shame.
