Not going to at someone four years later, but I'll still just leave this here. Same-s*x relations were very normal and well-documented in Ancient Rome and there most definitely were soldiers with Sub-Saharan (and other, non-white) roots in their armies, even in higher ranks. Sure, it was a lot more toxic and r*pey in real life, but a gay black Roman soldier would be historically accurate.
