meh... :/
Surely they have made this too one sided?
@jaythegreenling no it wasn't for me, I was just quoting
Holy shit.
Since GRRM is no longer a part of it anymore, they resorted to conventional writing and story telling, where everything can be easily predicted by the audience, there were no surprises here at all.
The only thing that made this season "feel" powerful than previous seasons was that it included epic action sequences in nearly every single episode, which kind of blew our minds away because it was so damn rare in previous seasons, that's all there is to it!!, if you compare the quality of the writing and storytelling with the previous seasons, you can easily see how bad and predictable it got.
just finished the episode. wow. much surprise. such wow. I now regret having spent time on this show.
@mrOTHER if the dragon dying was a surprise to you, it's no wonder you enjoy the show. I find everything highly predictable so far. especially this season.
They're so fucked...
@mrOTHER yeah those people are always complaining but still watching everytime. It was awesome as usual.
I've read some opinions which said that this finale could've been better and it's worse than episode 6 which featured more action and surprising twists (killing the dragon). But come on! It's a mixture of fast action known from this and 6th season with some great quality mindgames between characters that we haven't seen since, I guess, season 4 finale and Tyrion killing his own father. For me it's pure Game of Thrones 5 star episode... maybe even the best in the series!
