The Fernandes family is young and upbeat… But their gloomy, Italian-style dream home is bringing them down. Beyond the dusty old organ, balloon curtains, and ghastly collectibles (including a petrified wedding cake), their sprawling interiors feature an array of hideous leather chesterfields, and miles and miles of tile. After an ambush in the pumpkin patch, Colin and Justin vow to transform the family’s home from all tile to all style, with bright, ‘smart casual’ interiors. And in addition to an upscale living-dining area, and a family-friendly leisure zone, they also promise to teach Mom and Dad about fireplace placement, and about making formal functional. The family is thrilled… But can Colin and Justin integrate that cherished wedding cake into their new design?
