David Duchovny is the lead in this comedy about a book writer always running into trouble with sex, drugs and women, while struggling to maintain a relationship with his ex-girlfriend and trying to raise his daughter in a less than normal environment for a teenager.

just finished watching season 3, got a little disappointed as the first 2 were SOOO much better. Hope season 4 will bring the good old back :)
I know there's something wrong with me. This show is great but when 2nd season started I didn't feel the need to watch again... My name is volcanoday and I have a problem with comedies.

The new season is fantastic and a return to form from a bit of a dip. Californication as a whole is really consistent. I like that the show can feel really light, when it really isn't. Great music all-round also.

The last episode of season 3 is one of the best cliff hangers for shows I've seen for quite a while (excellent music choice!)! Can't wait for the next season!
