Wonderful and brilliant!
@kakature thanks, man, now i'm done with this crap.
@illlewis Karl is leaving Derek and has a much smaller role in the second season. So I guess the last reason to watch this show is now gone :p
One word: thick.
Without Karl P it would be another word: trainwreck.
I loved it, what a beautiful series!
I'm really disappointed with it. Most of the characters are annoying exept for Dougie. Kev is pathetic, can't believe Gervais created that character.
The story is way too sentimental, Derek is a bad character as well.
And then the stupid melancholical music (or Coldplay), man alive ...
Nope, really not a fan (and I love everything Ricky has done so far but this).
It feels like Gervais can't put anything great out without his buddy Merchant.
Part six of six aired last week, fantastic show! Expected on Netflix later this year, according to Ricky Gervais himself.
Another entry from his blog:
"I've nearly finished writing the series, which I'm filming in September. It will air early next year."
From Gervais' blog:
"I have however decided to do more than one episode of Derek. 6 more and then a special maybe. (No point in overworking.)
I had a little table-read with the main cast this week and the scripts are in pretty good shape. I've cast Karl as a really dopey, moody, miserable, whinging Manc twat by the way. I think he's nailed the role to be honest."

@kakature @Foirzie Thanks guys, I checked his blog and saw the same things you've mentioned. I hope it works out for Derek.
@laki @kakature My source was his personal blog :) As you said, He's writing on the remaining 6 episodes, and Channel 4 has yet to decide to order a full season.
@laki Ricky tweeted it, Ricky said it on his blog, it was on Wikipedia.
But by looking for a source I found out that Ricky is slowly writing 6 new episodes but is still waiting for a channel to pick it up (Source: Wikipedia).
@kakature Source, please…
2 million people watched the pilot (http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/apr/13/ricky-gervais-derek-viewers), I think Channel 4 will seriously consider ordering a full season with such ratings.
@Foirzie @laki There won't be a full season, it's only 1 episode.
The pilot wasn't great (the pond, the headbutt, the mockumentary style felt out of place), but the ending was beutifully emotional. If there's a full season, I hope they'll keep the drama:comedy ratio, that is in favor of drama.
Beautiful pilot, I hope Channel 4 orders a full season!
@kakature Well, thanks for your reply. I didn't know that actually.
And as for "Derek" I think that "one man's garbage is another man's art..." :) But I don't think it's garbage it's just sluggish kind of humor, but still likable.
And I totally agree with you about "Extras", because it's brilliant series, which I just love, can't say the same about "The Office" (UK!), though.
Cheers. :)
@weird0ther There's only one episode. It's solely written by Ricky Gervais, not the duo.
I liked it very much. It's not really a comedy but it was funny (and sad) anyway.
And The Office & Extras are better than their bloopers tbh :p
I must admit that I am a huge fan of Ricky Gervais, Steve Merchant and Karl Pilkington gang, but there's no great shakes, so far... As usual, it will turn out that the bloopers and outtakes will be more funnier than the rest of it, innit?
What surprised me the most about the show is that the characters are devoid of bluster and offensive. That is so unlikely for that crew. Anyway I won't refuse to watch any new episodes.
