Annabeth Chase is a criminal prosecutor with a near perfect conviction record. Throughout the series, she lost only one case, in the first season's second-to-last episode. She also lost her first case against a corrupt cop named Veeder in the second season's third-to-last episode. She was married to a construction worker, Jack Chase (Christian Kane), and has an infant daughter, Hailey Chase.
The show revolves around her balancing her career and family life, as a prosecutor in the city of Indianapolis.
