It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.

@alossforbears this was just pretty much 7 episodes of filler with only the final episode actually doing something. And the next arc is not even gonna be a season, they are gonna turn the next arc into 3 movies. Which will probably get released several years apart. Lame.
You know what? Season 5 might as well not have aired, and the fact that last episode has a 9.8* rating on imdb is a fraud. As a huge fan of this anime, this last series was one of the biggest copouts and most underwhelming season I've ever witnessed in this art form - and the punchline to this joke is that we have to wait 4 years to get the full next arc, which isn't even the end of the story? Ruined something that could've been amazing.
