Sarah Jane Smith travelled with the Doctor for a long time but eventually she had to leave. As she left the Doctor she asked him never to forget her and he didn't, for he sent her K-9 Mark III, a robotic dog and a girl's best friend.

Shockingly bad opening credits. As a show not actually that bad; concept was done well enough, but K-9 is just a bit too silly to carry a show. Idea better executed in Sarah Jane Adventures.
