@oranges yes and yes and yes and oh... yes. This fruit gets it. Fingers crossed for next season :)
What an increadibly weak season finale. Could it have been more predictable (and I'm not just talking about the finale, the whole season was)..
I thought this was called 'electric chair'
?
wtf :o
Comment streams on episode pages are for discussions about the episode. It is not made for personal fighting, name-calling and all the other nasty stuff that happens with a public site.
Everyone has their own opinion, feel free to voice your opinion on these pages but please use common sense and do not name call people or start nasty fired up discussions that lead to nowhere.
Try and keep it to a friendly discussion and please do not force me to developer specific back-end utilities to time ban people because they couldn't stay cool.
I removed all the off-topic discussions on this episode page and will closely monitor the posts of all the involved users and ban people if necessary. I hope it doesn't have to come to that.
Just think of season 5 & 6 like season 3: after a sucky season, the next one's gonna be epic.
Now we got 2 sucky seasons, so season 7 is going to double-epic? :p
@Colefrost: sorry to see you go, hope you reconsider.
You're kinda right about the clique though, now I think of it. I can understand that might scare some people off.
About the comments: there weren't only bad ones.
It's just that someone who didn't like the episode tends to post about it more quickly than someone who liked it.
Check the rating, 4.3 is pretty high.
I am in complete agreement with both @Curve and @oranges - I'm curious to what will happen next, but one thing is for sure: retard-proofing the show would help to a great extent.
@oranges thanks for the love and I agree with what you say.
The problem with this show is that it has been really really good and now is slacking. They keep on milking the cow for money, but should have finished the show last season or something.
The only thing I'm afraid of now is that Dexter will convince Deb that blablabla my son was the lamb. I had to kill him myself. No biggie. Let's move on. Deb (still in love lolmygod) says OK WHATEVAHH FUCK THIS FUCK THAT FUCK FUCk FUCK
because hey she is retarded when she knows that dexter his boat went missing and there was an explosion with a CIRCLE OF FIRE that they surely aren't the same.
oh my god!!
In response to "Does no one think Dexter can make a mistake?"
Obviously he can; people do. But many of the mistakes mentioned for this episode at least, were clearly bad writing. I think the entire episode fails if you try and explain how Dexter got Travis off the roof and into the car. For starters.
Most of these complaints are legit. I'm definitely one of those who think that this season was really poor.
Knowing that something had to happen at the end of this episode, it was predictable that SHOW SPOILER Deb would catch Dex from the moment she mentioned the church. I'm not one to try and spoil an episode for myself that way. It was just so blaringly obvious. I think that's a reflection of the writing this season. It seems sloppy to me. Lots of straight-up mistakes and cheating, like having travis just appear in the boot.
Like ColeFrost mentioned, and I've mentioned in the past - more characters getting real action now is good! But my thought is that Dexters part, and it is called Dexter, has been super subpar this season.
The end to this ep was really good. That has been my fantasy for seasons now, and next season we get it!
Hopefully it plays out the over the next 2 seasons, without being drawn out. A horrible example I do not recommend the writers follow [:)] would be Deb pulling a lumen real early next season, and having her progress from there. Soon after, she might wonder how often she is being lied to, etc.
So far this show likes to be done with these big plot changes and twists as soon as it can. It's strongest strength, in my opinion, would be fully utilising them. Dexter could have been a drastically changed man after Rita's death, but mostly it was just over with and then more convenient for the show. (We have seen Dexter becoming more human, which is cool, but not specifically tied to Ritas death, I don't think.)
