Asami Sato crashes into Mako, eventually resulting in a date. Her father Hiroshi Sato agrees to sponsor the Fire Ferrets into the pro-bending tournament. Meanwhile, Korra is tricked into joining Councilman Tarrlok's task force which tries to rid the city of Equalists. Korra challenges Amon to a duel and gets ambushed by Equalist chi blockers.
